Kilkenny Hockey Club have paid tribute to George Williams Senior, who sadly passed away on Saturday.
Mr Williams was an avid supporter of the club throughout his life.
“The Williams connection with the hockey club over the years has been strong. Members of the family have been, and are involved currently, playing for Senior Men and Women, under age boys and girls, mini hockey and supporting the club with coaching, umpiring and supporting from the sidelines,” a spokesperson for the club said.
“May he rest in peace.”
