The Kilkenny hospital confirmed the news earlier today (Friday)

Earlier this month, the Paediatric Allergy Clinic in St Luke's General Hospital in Kilkenny (SLGH) Paediatrics Department was certified as an Atopic Dermatitis Center of Reference and Excellence (ADCARE).

"There are just over 70 centres around the world that are certified ADCARE. We are proud to be one of them," a spokesperson for the hospital said.

The ADCARE programme is an initiative for increasing the knowledge of atopic dermatitis (a long term inflation of the skin) by research and advocating for awareness worldwide.
