Suspect flees from attempted burglary in Kilkenny

Gardaí are investigating an attempted burglary at a house in Kilkenny City.
The incident took place at a property in Hawthorn Walk between 2.30pm and 2.50pm in Parcnagowan on Thursday last.
The occupant heard the doorbell ring followed by a series of knocks on the door as he approached the door he saw the lock on the door being popped.
He opened the door to find a man outside claiming he was looking for someone.
The suspect then left the scene quickly.
