UPMC Nowlan Park to play host to All-Ireland Minor Hurling Final

The All-Ireland Minor Hurling Final between Kilkenny and Tipperary will be played in UPMC Nowlan Park after the two counties tossed for a home venue earlier today.
The under 17 decider will be down for decision on Saturday, June 29 where there will be a 5.30pm throw-in and it is expected to be screened live on TG4.
It will be the first meeting between the near neighbours in a minor decider since 2002 although Tipperary did win their most recent title in Nowlan Park two years ago when claiming a last gasp victory over Offaly.
Both teams captured provincial honours in recent weeks while they also needed extra-time to defeat Clare and Galway respectively in the semi-finals last weekend so a close encounter is expected.
The two counties are currently level at the top of the minor roll of honour with 21 titles apiece so that should bring another bit of added spice as Kilkenny look to win a first crown in a decade.
