VIDEO: Remarkable chalice belonging to Kilkenny family amongst incredible lots set for auction!
A remarkable Italian chalice that was commissioned in 1663 is set to be amongst an array of incredible lots to be auctioned soon by Sheppard's of Durrow.
The chalice is similar to the ones that would have been used in Ros Conail Church, Ballyuoskill and other places in the late 17th Century.
It comes from a major private collection belonging to a Kilkenny family.
The video shows Michael Sheppard with the chalice in the ruins of the church.
This lot will be auctioned as part of the Great Irish Interiors sale at the end of April.
