Young man robbed and assaulted in Kilkenny

Gardaí are continuing to investigate an incident that saw a young man assaulted and robbed in Kilkenny City.

The young male reported that two individuals approached him while he was walking on Bateman Quay.

The male reported that one of the individuals was a female and she attempted to take the young man's bag.

The injured party was then dragged to the ground by the second individual who was a male.

The injured party was then kicked a number of times on the ground before the individuals left with his bag.

As a result of this incident the young male suffered bruising.

This incident occurred at approximately 7pm on Sunday, March 9.
