Cllr Declan Clune has provided details of the incident which occurred in Portlaw
An appeal has been issued after an expensive item fell out of a van which was driving on a road in County Waterford.
Independent councillor Declan Clune detailed the incident which occurred in Portlaw in a post on his Facebook page.
Cllr Clune said: “An expensive power tool fell from the back of a van on the Carrick Road this morning.
“A driver travelling behind the van attempted to alert the driver, but unfortunately they were unable to get their attention and the van continued on.
“The power tool has since been recovered and is being safely held. If you know someone who may have lost it, please ask them to get in touch with me.
“We can then arrange for it to be returned to its rightful owner once ownership has been confirmed.”
He concluded by asking followers to share the post so that the owner could be reunited with their property.
