‘Big news’ - Work set to get underway on major upgrade of popular Waterford gym

Work is set to get underway on a major upgrade to a popular gym in Waterford city.

Xtreme CSC Waterford, located in the Lacken Road Business Park, is set to undergo a significant upgrade next week.

The gym announced the upcoming changes in a post on social media on Wednesday.

In a post on Facebook, a spokesperson for the gym wrote: “Big news! Next week, we will start part one of our gym upgrade.

“On Monday, October 26, we will start replacing the majority of our cardio equipment on the gym floor.

“We will be adding brand new treadmills, stairmasters, bikes, etc.

“We will also be increasing the number of treadmills from 10 to 15 to try and match demand.”

They went on to say that a number of renovation works will also be undertaken.

“We will also be getting some painting and electrical work done in the gym over the next week or two.

“These upgrades may lead to disruption on the gym floor.”

The gym spokesperson concluded by assuring members that regular updates on the works will be posted on social media.
