Plans revealed for further extension to popular restaurant in Waterford city

A planning application has been submitted for the expansion of Grow HQ on the Dunmore Road
Plans have been revealed for a further extension to a popular restaurant in Waterford city.
A planning application has been submitted for the expansion of Grow HQ on the Dunmore Road.
The development would include a new single storey extension to the north-east of the existing building.
This would contain a course room, training space, staff meeting room, kitchen and associated services.
There are also plans for a new single storey extension to the south-west of the existing building, containing additional kitchen capacity and storage.
It is intended that the new extension will use the same architectural language as the existing building with rendered walls and aluminium framed windows and flat roofs.
A paved 60 square metre roof terrace, which Grow HQ received permission for in 2024, has also been included in the plans.
In addition, there are plans for 16 new car-parking spaces using the existing road access.
A number of associated site works would also be carried out.
The planning application was submitted by GIY Ireland on June 18. A decision by Waterford City and County Council is expected by August 12.
