Repair of Clock Tower in Waterford city expected to take over four months

A proposal for the repair of the Clock Tower in Waterford is being prepared
The repair of the Clock Tower in Waterford city is expected to take over four months, the local authority has said.
Waterford City and County Council has announced that a proposal for the repair and operation of the clock is being prepared by Stokes Clocks.
It is expected that these repairs to the mechanism and clock faces will take approximately 20 weeks.
A tender package for the proposed conservation and repair of the structure will also be progressed over the coming months.
Local representatives have long been calling for the clock to be repaired, which has been broken for several years.
The issue has particularly come to light following the opening of the South Quays Plaza last month.
