Summer signing Stefan Mols posted a goal and two assists.

Josh Woods scored twice as Accrington made it five League Two games unbeaten with a 3-1 win over Gillingham.

Summer signing Stefan Mols scored one and celebrated two assists as Stanley remain unbeaten at home this season.

The Reds opened the scoring on 11 minutes when a mix-up between former Stanley loan goalkeeper Ollie Wright and Armani Little allowed Mols to nip in and score from close range.

It was two on 28 minutes when Mols turned provider as his corner was headed home by Woods.

The Gills got one back three minutes later when a volley from Omar Beckles took a deflection off Devon Matthews.

Stanley continued to be a threat and referee Will Finnie brandished a card at the Gills bench on 59 minutes.

Woods and Connor O’Brien had efforts saved by Wright before the third came on 66 minutes.

Another Mols corner found striker Woods and he powered his header home for his fifth goal of the season.

Gills boss Gareth Ainsworth made changes but it was Stanley who were in charge, Conor Grant clipping a post in the 81st minute.
