Nine-man Carlisle end Harrogate’s run of wins with stunning three-goal victory

The Cumbrians played the final hour at a two-man disadvantage.
Nine-man Carlisle produced a stunning performance to end Harrogate’s five-match winning streak in the National League with a 3-0 victory at Brunton Park.
Goals from Josh Williams, Callum Whelan and Ryan Galvin helped extend the Cumbrians’ unbeaten run to five having played the final hour with nine men.
The home side went ahead in the 10th minute, Williams cutting inside before firing a fine effort into the far corner, before Miguel Azeez was sent off for a challenge on Morgan Williams four minutes later.
Brad Dolaghan was denied an equaliser by home goalkeeper Adam Desbois, with Carlisle then having Harvey Bunker dismissed on the half-hour mark after a foul on Josh Hmami.
Carlisle doubled their advantage within a minute of the second half after Williams fed Whelan before Galvin added a third in the 61st minute, moments after coming off the bench.
