Connor Taylor and Daniel Harvie were on target.

A goal in each half gave League One Wycombe a 2-0 victory at League Two Accrington in the FA Cup first round.

Wanderers came out of the blocks quickly. Stanley’s on-loan Norwich goalkeeper Louie Moulden pushed away Emre Tezgel’s low shot and, from the resulting fifth-minute Aaron Morley corner, the visitors opened the scoring.

The ball was not cleared and defender Connor Taylor’s first attempt from close range was blocked, but he fired home the rebound.

Stanley looked to get back on level terms immediately and Charlie Warren’s shot was cleared off the line.

Wycombe’s experienced striker Danny Ings came off injured after 25 minutes, replaced by six-goal top scorer Jayden Wareham.

Stanley continued to press but were unable to test goalkeeper Joe Wildsmith, while at the other end Wareham broke free and Moulden denied him with his legs after 36 minutes.

Moulden produced another superb save after 51 minutes to keep out Malik Mothersille’s curling effort.

Stanley forced a succession of corners, but Wycombe continued to be a threat, Tezgel firing inches over after 61 minutes.

And the visitors got their second in the 69th minute when Luke Leahy’s corner was headed home by Daniel Harvie to secure their place in the second round.
