In pictures: Excitement aplenty at Lifford Credit Union school quiz

Lifford Credit Union had 39 teams in total competing on the night, their largest number of entries ever with Scoil Bhride, Convoy, winning the U-13 category and Scoil Cholmcille, Newtowncunningham, who won the U-11 quiz

Lifford Credit Union held their 2024 Schools Quiz in Deele College, Raphoe last Friday night. 

What a turnout! They had 39 teams in total competing on the night, their largest number of entries ever. Please click on the arrows to go through the gallery

“A big thank you to all the students from the different schools,” the event organisers said. "A big shout-out to all the teachers also. Without the schools, teachers, and students there would be no quiz. Thank you to everyone who helped on the night, and to Joe Boyle and the staff at Deele College for giving us the use of the school hall. 

“Congratulations to Scoil Bhride, Convoy (Team 1) who won the U-13 quiz and to Scoil Cholmcille, Newtown (Team 1) who won the U-11 quiz. Both teams go through to the Regional Final.”

For U-13 results: 1 - Scoil Bhride, Convoy (Team 1); 2 - Scoil Cholmcille, Newtown (Team 2); 3 - Moyle NS Newtown (Team 1)           

For U-11 results: 1 - Scoil Cholmcille Newtown (Team 1); 2 - Scoil an Linbh Iosa, Carrigans (1); 3 - Scoil Bhride, Convoy (Team 1)
