Patients who attended the centre were asked to attend the primary care centre in Glenties following the closure “until a decision is taken regarding the future availability of the Lettermacaward.”

Donegal TD and Sinn Féin Spokesperson for Finance Pearse Doherty and Councillor Brian Carr were behind the push - along with Lettermacaward Health Centre Action Group - to re-open and were delighted to be in attendance as it was.

“Great to be in attendance this morning at the official reopening of Lettermacaward Health Centre with Cllr Brian Carr,” Doherty posted. “The community fought incredibly hard to get the building up to standard and reopened. Wishing the very best to Dr Mc Manus, Dr Donnelly and all the staff at the centre.
