St. Mary’s CBS Portlaoise saw their sixth year students receive their Leaving Certificate results on Friday August 23.
School principal Maura Murphy expressed her pride in the sixth year group on getting across the line.

“We’re delighted with our students’ results,” Ms Murphy said.
“Three students achieved over 600 points, and there’s up to 20 who got over 500 points.
“Across the board all our students did very well. They are all equipped to follow their chosen career and excel in various fields, this is only their first step,” Ms Murphy said.
The principal went on to thank teachers and parents who have supported both the students and the school over the last five to six years.
“These were a lovely class group and we are very proud of them,” Ms Murphy finished.
