Shania Twain to headline State Fayre 2027 festival in Essex

Shania Twain has been announced as the first headliner of the State Fayre 2027 festival in Chelmsford, Essex.

The Canadian country star, 61, will perform some of her biggest hits at the event, which celebrates American culture, on June 19.

Speaking about the festival, Twain said: “We all know I love the UK and my UK fans are the best.

“Last summer everyone said that State Fayre was a blast so I can’t wait to experience it for myself and it’s an honour to headline, of course!

“Summer will be here before we know it, see you all soon for my hits from ’93 and the first record to ‘Little Miss Twain’, my latest release. Let’s go!”

Festival organisers Anna-Sophie Mertens and Alex Simmonds said: “We’re over the moon to reveal the first details of State Fayre 2027 and our first headliner in the form of the one and only: Shania Twain.

“An icon not just in the history of country music but also in global culture itself, Shania is the perfect fit for what State Fayre is all about.

“A true celebration in every sense of the word, singing along is going to be a must by the time June comes around.

“With two more headliners still to be revealed and an incredible lineup still to be announced, we can’t wait to show the world what we’ve been working on. We’ll see you in June.”

The State Fayre festival began in 2026 with over 50,000 attendees descending on Essex’s Hylands Park for the event.

The 2027 festival will take place from June 18-20. The first wave of weekend and Saturday tickets are on sale from Friday November 6 at 9am.

Tickets and further information can be found at www.statefayre.com.

It will be a busy summer for Twain as she is also set to headline Live at Powderham on Thursday June 24 and Blenheim Palace on Tuesday June 29.
