A dissident republican Easter commemoration parade in Derry has passed off largely peacefully.
The Derry 1916 Commemoration Committee, which is supported by Saoradh, held its commemoration this afternoon.
A masked colour party led the demonstration from the Central Drive in the Creggan area to the City Cemetery.
Last year's commemoration ended in violence as petrol bombs and other missiles were thrown at PSNI vehicles.
A police helicopter circled overhead while a drone warned those in attendance that it is an illegal procession were the only signs of a policing presence.
However, members of the media were attacked with petrol bombs by some taking part in the commemoration. Before the commemoration began bottles and fireworks were also thrown at members of the media.
Meanwhile, a form was lodged with the Parades Commission for this year's commemoration event for the first time.
However, the form was only in relation to that part of the event at the City Cemetery and did not include a parade from Creggan shops.
The form was submitted by the ‘Creggan Easter Committee’ over the weekend.
