Despite the sub zero temperatures, the streets of Longford town were a hotbed of activity last night as thousands turned out to greet the newly crowned currentaccount.ie LGFA All-Ireland Intermediate Club Football Champions, Longford Slashers.
The history makers were led through the town's Main Street by the Longford Pipe Band and they were introduced to the appreciative crowd of well wishers by MC Benny O'Brien, with manager Conor Clarke and captain Aisling Cosgrove also addressing those in attendance.
It was a truly memorable occasion and congratulations to everyone involved.
