38 thousand euro Údarás expenses paid to County Councillor
Galway Bay fm newsroom - Former Údarás na Gaeltachta board member, Councillor Seosamh Ó Cuaig received almost 40 thousand euro in fees and expenses in 2012.
According to today's Irish Independent, more than 400 thousand euro was paid to the board of the development company in the past two years.According to Údarás officials, many of the expenses payments were as a result of board members travelling from various Gaeltacht areas around the country.The majority of board meetings were held at the Údarás na Gaeltachta headquarters in Furbo.
County Councillor Seosamh Ó Cuaig received 38 thousand 870 euro from Údarás in 2012.This was made up of almost 9 thousand euro in fees and almost 30 thousand euro in expenses.However, according to the Independent Councillor, these expenses related to an 8-year period.
