Much like the good times, the good weather in Ireland sadly cannot last forever

It’s looking like this blissful heatwave is set to pack up and leave these shores from next week onwards according to Met Eireann’s latest weather warning update.

Met Eireann’s heatwave weather advisory ends on Saturday morning at 6am and while there is a new high temperature warning in place for Carlow, Kilkenny, Laois, Offaly, Wexford, Cork, Limerick, Tipperary, Waterford - that too ends on Friday night.

In truth, you will notice the temperatures start to turn after today with 30C promised across some areas in Ireland but one or two showers also developing in the south and west.

Thursday night will be dry and clear but patches of mist and fog will arise and stay put until Friday morning.

Now in saying this, we will still be getting low to mid 20 temperatures over the weekend and into next week so we can’t really complain.

Here’s how the next few days are looking according to Met Eireann:

Tomorrow: “Friday will be dry with light to moderate northerly breezes. It will be sunniest over Munster and Leinster with highest temperatures of 25 and 28 degrees, warmest in the south. It will be somewhat cloudier and a bit cooler in Connacht and Ulster with highest temperatures of 17 to 24 degrees.”

Weekend: “Saturday will be dry with moderate northerly breezes. The best of the sunshine will be over Munster and Leinster with highest temperatures of 21 to 25 degrees.

“It will be somewhat cloudier over Connacht and Ulster with highest temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees. Saturday night will be dry with clear spells, a few patches of mist and fog and lowest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees.”
