Two premises were searched across Loughrea by the Galway Divisional Drugs Unit

Gardai searched two houses in east Galway on Tuesday arresting a teenager and one other man after a large supply of cocaine, money and a car was seized.

The bust took place across two places in Loughrea in a crack down on the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the East Galway area.

Searching the first property, officers seized a car and a designer gold ring worth around €4,500 as well as small amounts of cocaine and cannabis.

Much larger discoveries were made in the second property with over €28,000 in euro and sterling combined found as well as €16,000 worth of cocaine.

Both the teenager and the man in his 30s are currently being quizzed at a station in the North Western Region.
