Aurivo raises €50,000 for Cancer Care West as charity partnership concludes

The funds were raised through the generosity and dedication of Aurivo employees.
Aurivo has presented Cancer Care West with a cheque for €50,000, marking the successful conclusion of the co-operative's 2025/26 Charity of the Year partnership.
The funds were raised through the generosity and dedication of Aurivo employees, who supported a range of fundraising initiatives throughout the year. All employee donations were matched by Aurivo, helping to maximise the impact of the partnership and support Cancer Care West's essential services for individuals and families affected by cancer across the west and north-west of Ireland.
The cheque presentation took place at Aurivo House, where representatives from Cancer Care West joined Aurivo employees to celebrate the success of the partnership and recognise the collective effort that made the fundraising total possible.
Speaking at the event, Donal Tierney, CEO of Aurivo, said, “Supporting the communities we serve is central to who we are as a co-operative, and I would like to sincerely thank our employees for their incredible generosity and commitment throughout our partnership with Cancer Care West. Raising €50,000 is a fantastic achievement that will help support individuals and families across the west and north-west.
“As we conclude this partnership, we look forward to supporting Sunflower Children's Hospice through this year's Aurivo Golf Classic and to opening applications for our 2027 Charity of the Year as we continue to support organisations that make a meaningful difference in our communities.”
While the Charity of the Year partnership has now come to a close, Aurivo also announced that its charity programme will return to a calendar-year cycle, with applications for the 2027 Aurivo Charity of the Year opening in the coming weeks.
Aurivo also welcomed representatives from the Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation to Aurivo House as preparations begin for the 2026 Aurivo Golf Classic, which will take place this September in aid of Sunflower Children's Hospice.
Martina Jennings, CEO of Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation, added, “We're so grateful to Aurivo for their support of the Sunflower Children's Hospice. Next month's Golf Classic is a fantastic opportunity to raise vital funds for children with life-limiting conditions and their families across the western seaboard. Every fundraiser makes a real difference to the lives of the children and families we support, and we want to thank everyone involved.
Sunflower Children's Hospice will be the first and only children's hospice outside Dublin, providing specialist paediatric palliative care for children and young adults with life-limiting conditions across eight counties along Ireland's western seaboard. Through this year's Golf Classic, Aurivo is proud to support the development of this vital service and continue making a meaningful difference in the communities it serves.
