The nun spent time in Limerick, Nigeria, Ramsgrange (Co Wexford), and Gravesend, Kent
THE death took place last week in the loving care of the staff of Claremount Nursing Home, Claremorris, of Sr
Jane Vereker, Rosebury Court, Knock, and formerly of Limerick, Nigeria, Ramsgrange (Co Wexford), and Gravesend, Kent.
Sr Jane was a member of the Sisters of St Louis and rendered years of devoted and dedicated service to the teaching profession, especially in Nigeria and the UK.
She made many new friends when she retired to Knock and was a lovely and warm neighbour to those who knew her in the Knock community.
Reposing was in Marian Funeral Home, Knock, with removal to the Parish Church on Tuesday. Interment took place in Kilkinure cemetery following the funeral Mass on Wednesday.
Sr Jane, who was predeceased by her brother Jack and sister-in-law Kay, will be sadly missed by her cousins in Cork, Limerick and Boston, her St. Louis Community, her many good friends and past pupils.
