Road in centre of Mayo town set to close for local fair day

The fair celebrates local history and culture, and takes place early next month
Mayo County Council have signalled their intention to close a road in Louisburgh as the town gears up for their local Ram Show and Fair Day.
The closure is set to accommodate the running of the event in West Mayo, a key staple in the calendar of the locality, celebrating local culture and history.
On Thursday, October 1, Church Street will be closed for a distance of 120 metres. The closure will commence at 11 am and run for four hours until 3 pm.
All commuters and traffic in the area will be diverted from Church Street to the Bunowen Road (L-5883) and Bunowen (L-5883-1).
