The diversions will see commuters travel through Ballinrobe for a number of weeks
Commuters in South Mayo are advised to allow for additional travel time in the middle of September, as overflow works are set to cause a road closure.
The project, which will be adjacent to the Owenbrin River Bridge, will commence at 8 am on Monday, September 14, and run until Friday, September 25 at 6 pm.
The closure will take place on a circa 3.2-kilmometre stretch of road on the R-300, which runs along Lough Mask.
The route closure will commence at the junction with the L-5260 and run until the junction with the L-16008.
As part of the closure, a number of diversions will be in place, using the R-330, the N-84 to Ballinrobe, and the R-345 to Clonbur.
Local access will be provided for properties along the closed route.
