GoFundMe page set up for cyclist knocked off his bike in Dundalk

A GoFundMe has been set up for a Dundalk cyclist knocked off his bike while cycling in the town raising almost €1500 in just over a day.
Graham Donnelly started the fundraiser for Mark Rogan, believed to be the man deliberately knocked off his bike while cycling on the Castletown Road on Sunday.
A video widely circulated on social media taken from inside a car appears to show a driver swerving into a cyclist.
On the GoFundMe page Graham said he “felt sick watching the video doing the rounds” continuing:
“I don't know Mark personally and only set this fund up as a result of the reaction to a comment I made about how I would contribute to any fund set up to help Mark while he is out of work.”
Gardai have appealed to the public for information on the incident which they say resulted in aman aged in his 50s, being taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda to receive treatment for his injuries.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the Castletown Road area on Sunday, 27th November 2022, between 2.50pm and 3.05pm are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Dundalk Garda Station 042 9388400, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
