Tuesday's weather forecast for Louth

Cloudy and wet to start with widespread rain which will be heavy at times and may cause localised flooding.

The rain will gradually clear during the afternoon and by the evening, most places will be dry with clear spells.

As the rain clears, colder conditions will return. Temperatures of around 10 degrees in the morning will drop to 3 to 6 degrees in the afternoon.

Fresh to strong and gusty southwesterly winds will gradually become northerly and ease.

Most areas will be dry and clear but some wintry showers are possible near northern coasts.

It will be cold with frost and ice as temperatures fall to between -2 and +2 degrees, in a light west to northwest wind.
