Motorists advised of 'long-term' traffic management plan to facilitate works on bypass of Clare town

CLARE County Council has moved to remind motorists and pedestrians to proceed with caution as a long-term traffic management plan is to come into effect early in the new year.
Commencing on Monday, January 9, the restrictions will be in place until the end of May to facilitate construction of the R494 road realignment in respect of the Killaloe Bypass.
According to a public notice, the traffic management will also facilitate construction of the Shannon Bridge Crossing (between Killaloe and Ballina) and the R494 Improvement Scheme.
Further details can be found on the local authority's website.
