Shoppers-on-foot will have to find alternative route in Clare town

THE REMOVAL of a busy pedestrianised street in Ennis is coming soon, for a temporary time.
Temporary pedestrianisation measures currently in place for O’Connell Street, Ennis, will end on Sunday, October 22, at 4:30pm.
Clare County Council have issued a statement, reminding people that the notice of this removal was first advertised in February this year.
Although the duration of this temporary removal of pedestrianisation of the busy street is not disclosed, the council have stated the following: "These measures were intended to be in place until January 7, 2024, or until the O’Connell Street Public Realm works commenced - whichever date would fall first."
