STUDENTS, teachers and families gathered in celebration at The Strand Hotel as Ardscoil Mhuire, Corbally marked its annual academic awards night.
Nominations for classroom-based subjects were made based on numerous criteria, with hundreds of students acknowledged for their effort and contribution to the high-quality teaching and learning that occurs on a daily basis. Other students were selected in recognition of their effect on the whole school community; be it through leadership, extra-curricular activities, or indeed kind and courteous personalities. The recipients of these special awards were those who were seen to have excelled.
Poppy O’Connor, a second year student, was named as ‘The Kindest Most Courteous Student’; whilst fifth year student Nicole Forde received ‘The CEIST Award’, recognising her vast contribution to the life and culture of her school.
The ‘Contribution to Sport’ award was presented to Emma Doherty. Emma, already a stalwart of school sports, proudly represents Treaty Gaels and the Limerick Minor Camogie team.
The management and staff of Ardscoil Mhuire extend their congratulations to all of the students nominated and offer a sincere thanks to their families for the amazing level of support throughout the past year.
The annual academic awards night took place in The Strand Hotel on March 26.
