Big news on big screen for Limerick's hurling final - and World Cup Final!

Talks being finalised to bring big screen coverage of All-Ireland senior hurling final to Pery Square
FANS who miss out on a ticket for the All-Ireland final will be able to watch the action unfold on a big screen in the city centre.
Final preparations were being made this Tuesday to beam back pictures from Croke Park into Pery Square.
With Limerick and Galway set to throw-in at 3.30pm, Mayor John Moran confirmed the “watch party” and said he is also hoping, with the co-operation of the gardai and other emergency services, to also show the soccer World Cup Final later in the day.
This kicks off at 8pm.
“I think we are going to have the watch party in Pery Square, so people who cannot make it up to the ground can watch it in a good crowd,” he told Limerick Live.
“I’m also aware Sunday night is World Cup Final night, so hopefully we can find a way to clear health, safety and security to show that as well in the evening,” he said.
Full details are expected to be released by Limerick City and County Council in the coming days, and there is likely to be a registration process in order to attend what will be a free screening.
Limerick will bask in 24 degrees Celsius sunshine on Sunday around the time of throw-in at Croke Park.
In 2023, a big screen was also set up in Pery Square, which screened Limerick’s last All-Ireland final appearance, the win against Kilkenny, the fourth straight time John Kiely’s charges had landed the Liam MacCarthy cup.
It was also the venue for the homecoming the following day.
For those lucky enough to be heading to Dublin, there are still coach tickets available on JJ Kavanagh and Dublin Coach services.
Citylink and Flightlink services also have availability on their services between Limerick and Dublin Airport.
But there are absolutely zero seats on trains available on Sunday morning between Limerick, Charleville and Dublin. It comes after extra services laid on by Irish Rail sold out in quick time.
There’s still limited rail seats available following the game.
