Fallen trees lead to temporary closure of popular Limerick recreational amenity

Clare Glens Woodland and Loop Walks have been temporarily closed
LIMERICK City and County council have announced the temporary closure of Clare Glens Woodland and Loop Walks.
The local authority have declared a possible danger to the public due to a significant number of fallen trees in the woodland area in the aftermath of Storm Éowyn.
Works will begin to clear the fallen trees and the amenity will remain closed until the area is assessed as safe.
It is expected the amenity will be closed up to and including Friday January 31, in the interest of public safety.
Limerick City and County Council says they "regret any inconvenience to users".
