LIMERICK based pop-rock band Undivided Attention have released their first single in a year.

The new song ‘Tonight’ is inspired by the era of early 2000’s emo life and it’s built on fast chugging guitars, steady baselines and solid drums - all working seamlessly together to complement raw and emotive vocals.

The song features Eimear Leonard on vocals, Steven Kelly on guitar, Eoghan Halvey on bass and Hannah Spillane on drums.

It was written in December of 2024, without the band ever imagining the live sound of the song and they purely wanted to capture that early 2000’s pop rock music that the band members were born into.

The band explained: “The song is as sappy of a love song that you can get.”

Since their first gig in August of 2025, the band have played this song at every gig, and its catchy chorus helps as the crowd are now able to shout the lyrics back at them on stage.

“We finally decided over the summer that it was time to record this single and get it out for the world to hear it,” said singer Eimear Leonard.

“It’s easily our favourite song we play live and to see the crowd dancing and singing it back to us made us want to release it as our first single back even more.”

Eoghan added: “We’ve been playing the song for a few years now and the crowd knows it.”

The song was recorded in Launchpad studios in Limerick City, and it was mixed by Shane Wixted and mastered by Ben Wanders.

It will be one of the leading tracks from the band’s upcoming self-titled EP.

In September, Undivided Attention organised a show for freshers week, for university students’ ‘FreshFest’, where five local bands came together to give music fans the opportunity to find their new favourite band.

Eoghan said: “The gig sold over 200 tickets with us as the headliners and it was packed to the brim with people jumping and dancing during our set.

“‘Tonight’ marks the start of a new chapter for us as a band, being a complete genre change from our first single, and we hope that this feeds into our upcoming live shows.”
