TWO LIMERICK brothers have won National Enterprise Awards for their innovative company.

Nick and Jack Cotter are the founders of Cotter Agritech, based in Abbeyfeale.

Through the company, the pair have developed the Cotter Crate, a sheep handling system that makes the grasping and data recording of animals easier, faster and cheaper for farmers.

They've also developed a mobile application known as SmartWorm.

This product is cutting chemical use in agriculture by up to 50%.

The firm received funding from Local Enterprise Office Limerick, with the brothers named the county's entrepreneurs of the year.

Now, flying the flag for Limerick at the national final in Dublin, they were named winners in the south-west region of Ireland.
