LIMERICK’S DIY festival, Féile na Gréine, will take over London for St Patrick’s Day.

Four emerging bands behind Limerick’s Féile na Gréine music festival will perform in London next month as part of a St Patrick's takeover.

His Father's Voice, The Low Field, Laura Duff, and The PVP (The Personal Vanity Project) will take to the stage at the Irish Cultural Centre Hammersmith on Thursday, March 14.

The event is in collaboration with Glór Nua: Next Generation Music, an evening of live music, which celebrates new emerging artists from London and Ireland.

Composed of musicians, designers, photographers, and other creative practitioners, Féile na Gréine is a DIY, volunteer-led music festival which takes place every summer in Limerick.

Throughout the years, the festival has continuously built a national reputation for championing Ireland’s emerging and experimental musical talent.

While this the first London appearance for the four Limerick bands, Féile na Gréine travelled to London in 2022 for the Irish Film London Awards, where their feature-length documentary, Out of Place, was nominated for Best Documentary.

Described as a "catalyst for change", the documentary explored the tensions that emerge when musicians struggle to carve out a space for themselves in their city.

Through an intimate portrayal of a local music scene, Out of Place captures the incredible diversity of cultural activity happening in the Treaty City. Tickets are now on sale for the London gig and are available from the Irish Cultural Centre Hammersmith's website.
