Tributes have poured in following the untimely passing of Liz Lynch, of Feenagh
FUNERAL arrangements have been announced for the beloved mother-of-three young children who died in a tragic construction site accident.
Elizabeth (Liz) Lynch, aged 44, of Woodfield Manor, Newcastle West and Kilmurry, Feenagh, County Limerick, will repose for three days to allow people to pay their respects before being laid to rest.
Ms Lynch died after a septic tank trench collapsed in Kilmeedy on Friday afternoon. She was immediately rescued from the trench but was pronounced deceased at the scene.
It is understood that she was assisting with the construction of a house at the time. In a double tragedy, it is the same property that her brother Timothy Lynch Jnr was working on when he also passed away suddenly last November.
Ms Lynch will be very sadly missed by her heartbroken family; her adored sons Kauan, Jaycob and Victor, their father Marcos, her heartbroken father Tim, mother Betty, sister Mary, brother Michael Snr., sister-in-law Caroline, Timothy Jnr.’s partner Catriona, niece Kate, nephews Michael Jnr. and James, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, her many teammates and clubs over the years, neighbours and many friends.
Reposing at her parents home in Feenagh (V35 RY94) on Wednesday from 1pm to 8pm, Thursday from 1pm to 8pm and Friday from 1pm to 8pm.
Arriving at St Ita's Church, Feenagh on Saturday for Requiem Mass at 12.30pm, which will be live-streamed with a link to follow. Following the Mass, Ms Lynch will be taken to her final resting place in Feenagh Cemetery.
The Lynch family have kindly requested for donations in lieu of flowers to go to a charity of one’s choice, if desired.
Tributes have already started pouring in on rip.ie with a member of Monagea Ladies Gaelic Football Club summing up the feelings of many.
“Our heartfelt sympathies to Liz's three boys and her family and sporting friends. She was one of a kind and had a heart of gold. We will miss her deeply. May her gentle soul rest in peace,” they wrote.
