Low cost courses to nourish your body, soothe the mind

Kathryn Crowley turned to yoga movement and breathing exercises for chronic (fibromymalgia) pain. It worked, and after a few years the art and writing tutor began teaching yoga. She had always found it expensive, and in some cases elitist, in Ireland. Kathryn's MA reserach into yoga within the sociology of health and medicine made her realise that there is a problem everywhere; the data shows that yoga in Europe is mostly for people of privilege. Over the years Kathryn was given low-cost and free classes by some kind yoga teachers in Waterford and Galway when she was out of work because of ill health. She was able to do the same for people when she began teaching, and believes that more can be done nationwide. Now, thanks to the generosity of the Milk Market, that spirit of sharing can carry on. People with and without a stable income are warmly welcome to participate in a wellness programme upstairs on weekdays. See www.artyshe.com / https://www.facebook.com/YogaLimerick to register.
