Nominations open for 10th Limerick Garda Divisional Youth Awards

People of Limerick asked to nominate youths who contribute positively to their communities
NOMINATIONS are now open for the 10th Limerick Garda Divisional Youth Awards, taking place in April.
Gardaí are urging people to nominate individuals, voluntary groups, schools and youth clubs or any other organisations that are worthy of recognition for positive contributions in their community for the awards.
“Limerick gardaí recognise that so many young people in every community throughout Limerick are involved in many positive activities,” said Sergeant Michelle O Halloran, crime prevention officer at Henry Street Garda Station.
“Not alone is it to acknowledge their volunteering work, it could be young people who are involved in fundraising activities or raising awareness of certain issues.
“It is also to acknowledge young people who have overcome personal challenges in their lives,” she said.
Nomination forms can be downloaded from the garda website at www.garda.ie and forwarded via email to [email protected] or send by post to the Juvenile Liaison Office, Mayorstone Garda Station, Limerick.
Nomination forms are also being distributed to all second level schools, youth clubs and other services in Limerick.
If any person requires a nomination form please contact the Juvenile Liaison Office at Mayorstone Garda Station on 061 456986 or 085 8852588.
Limerick gardaí in association with Garvey’s Centra and Supervalu in Corbally, Adare and Newcastle West are to present the 10th Limerick Garda Divisional Youth Awards at Fitzgerald’s Woodlands House Hotel and Spa, Adare, on April 2.
