Rush hour multi-vehicle collision on Limerick motorway

Long traffic delays are being reported on the Limerick Southern Ring Road
EMERGENCY services have responded to a rush hour multi-vehicle collision in Limerick this Thursday evening.
The road traffic incident on the motorway occurred shortly after 5pm on the eastbound lane between Junction 30 M7/N18/M20 and Junction 29 (N24) Ballysimon (Limerick).
It is understood it happened just off the John Carew Park exit. Long tailbacks have been reported.
It is not known, at this time, how many vehicles were involved or if any of the occupants sustained serious injuries.
A TII spokesperson said: “Some delays to your journey may occur. When approaching the collision location, drive with caution, reduce your speed and please obey instructions from emergency services.”
