WATCH: Limerick hurling fans share excitement and nerves at Croke Park

THERE was excitement and trepidation in the air as Limerick fans made the trip to Croke Park early to support the treaty men in the All-Ireland semi-final battle against Galway on Saturday.

Clouds were above the 80,000 capacity stadium but there were no signs of rain as the sun seemed to break through in places.

People of all ages and nationalities made their way to the stadium to cheer on the boys and green.

The O'Connor twins from Abbeyfeale were visiting Croke Park for the first time ever meanwhile, Waterford man Billy Carberry has been to the stadium hundreds of times for All-Ireland semi-finals.

If Limerick defeat Galway then they will be through to the All-Ireland final in two weeks time.

Our reporter Meghann Scully met fans outside Croke Park to discuss the match.
