A WOMAN in her 20s had money taken from her wallet while working in a Limerick hospital.

The woman was working in the office of Croom Orthopaedic Hospital on Thursday, March 16 when she left her wallet in the office at 2pm.

On her return, she could see that her wallet had been moved and then discovered that her cash had been taken.

Sergeant Ber Leetch, Crime Prevention Officer at Henry Street Garda Station said: "If you bring anything of value to your place of work, ensure that it is kept under lock and key, put it into a staff room locker.

"If a locker is not provided for you then leave anything of value at home and keep any cash or bank cards on your person.

"It is better to be careful and suspicious than to be at a loss."
