ALERT: Council issues important weather advisory for Tipperary this weekend

Tipperary County Council has issued an important weather advisory for Tipperary this weekend.
The moderate weather advisory for Tipperary this weekend will see Storm Bert move close to Ireland, displacing the recent cold Arctic airmass.
Very strong winds and heavy rain will track northeastwards over the country on Friday night and Saturday morning.
Storm Bert will continue to dominate our weather through the weekend and into early next week and further warnings will be issued for this event.
The message stated: "A weather advisory alert for Tipperary has already been issued by SMS within the past 24 hours, so no SMS was issued this time around.
"It is likely that Met Eireann changed the start/end time of the weather warning from the original version and these updated start/end times are included above.
"The council will only send an SMS if they haven't already done so for a unique weather event within the previous 24 hours.
"Otherwise, follow up alerts with changed start/end times will be sent by email/app only."
Met Eireann has issued a status red rain alert for two counties - warning there is a risk of severe flooding this weekend, associated with Storm Bert.
The highest-level warning, which was issued for Cork and Galway shortly before midday this Friday, is valid from midnight until 10am on Saturday.
Separately, a status orange rain warning has been issued for six counties with Met Eireann warning there will be "intense falls of rain over a short period of time".
The affected counties are Waterford, Kerry, Clare, Mayo, Sligo and Leitrim and the warning will also be valid from midnight to 10am.
As Storm Bert approaches, Met Éireann has also issued a number of status yellow warnings with most counties set to be impacted.
The first - a wind and rain warning - will come into effect at 10pm this Friday and will apply to Leinster, Munster, Connacht, Cavan and Monaghan.
The second - a snow-ice, rain and wind warning for County Donegal - will come into effect at midnight.
