Call made to resolve road flooding in Kilfeacle

A request for new piping to be installed at Mountwilliam Kilfeacle to prevent road flooding was made at a meeting of Tipperary/Cahir/Cashel Municipal District.
Cllr Michael Fitzgerald told the meeting that local farmers had cleaned drains on their properties to help in any way but the pipe under the road was not big enough to take the water.
Officials told Cllr Fitzgerald that it may not be just that the pipe was not big enough as it could be that the drain posed a problem as well. They would have a look at it and would consider it for future drainage works.
