Car stolen in Tipperary over last weekend recovered in a neighbouring county by Gardaí

Gardaí in Birr recovered a car stolen in Tipperary
A car stolen during a recent burglary in Thurles has been recovered following a Garda operation in neighbouring County Offaly.
The vehicle was intercepted around 2am on Saturday during a rural checkpoint on Military Road in Crinkle, just across the Tipperary border. Gardaí pursued and arrested three individuals after a short foot chase.
The car, which had been taken during a break-in in Thurles last week, was found with its registration plate altered using black tape - an apparent attempt to avoid detection.
All three suspects have since been charged with the unauthorised taking of a vehicle and are due to appear before Tullamore District Court on July 9th.
The incident forms part of ongoing efforts to tackle cross-county criminal activity affecting communities in Tipperary and beyond.
