Cllr Andy Moloney has called on Tipperary County Council to carry out a survey on the Main Bridge in Cahir

Thoughts?

At the recent meeting of Tipperary/Cahir/Cashel Municipal District meeting, Councillor Andy Moloney expressed concern over the main bridge over the River Suir in Cahir.

Cllr Moloney claimed that some of the protectors are missing stones and some stones underneath have become dislodged and swept away with the current.

In a previous motion to council Cllr Moloney had requested a study to be conducted and was told that it was near completion.

It seems that an application for funding to carry out repairs will be sought by the council as it's the only bridge in the town and we can’t afford it to be out of commission and he requested the results of the survey as soon as they are available.
