Eid al-Fitr festival to be held in Thurles this weekend

The Thurles Islamic Community Centre (THICC) is inviting the public to their Eid al-Fitr festival on Saturday, April 22.

The event is on from 10am – 2:30 pm at the Thurles Crokes Athletics Club.

On the day, there will be a special oriental lunch and various family activities.

Organisers say they aim to provide "new and enjoyable experience while removing barriers, connecting, and building bridges within local communities."
