Eight people have been arrested in county Tipperary on suspicion of driving under the influence of drink and or drugs over the past two days.

That's according to a post published on An Garda Síochána's Tipperary Facebook page.

"Too many people continue to take risks and drive under the influence," wrote a Garda spokesman in the Facebook page post.

"If you know someone who is doing this and putting their life or others at risk, please talk to them. We are all responsible for road safety," the spokesman added.
