Upgrades are being carried out in the Ballypatrick area

Uisce Éireann is making steady progress to upgrade the water network in the Ballypatrick area.

These works will reduce leakage and provide a more reliable water supply to local homes and businesses.

So far over 3.9km of water main has been replaced, with a further 1.7km to be installed.

To facilitate the connection of the newly installed water mains, there will be a planned outage next week which may impact customers in Ballypatrick and the surrounding areas.

Customers in Seskin, Ballynaraha, Ballydine, Kilnoracey, Buttlerstown, Mullagh, Ballyneil, Deerpark, DoveHill, Figlash, Mainstown, Lissadober, Faugheen, Tybressy Ballyrichard and the surrounding area may experience some disruption to their supply on Tuesday, 18 November from 9am to 4pm.

Uisce Éireann’s Dave Murphy said: “We understand the inconvenience caused by an interruption to supply. Every effort will be made to limit the impact of these essential works, and we would like to thank the community in advance for their patience and co-operation.”
