The new state-of-the-art building will be dedicated to enhancing services for people with intellectual disabilities in North Tipperary and Offaly.
The new building, located at The Maltings, Roscrea is designed to be a central hub for providing a wide range of support services to 148 local people living with intellectual disabilities.
Avista is a person-centred, rights-based organisation that is dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults with disabilities across Dublin, Limerick and North Tipperary/Offaly.
Speaking at the unveiling of the new building Avista Residential Service Manager, Catherine Linden, said, “We are very proud to officially open our new building today. This is a new chapter for our service and the 148 people we support, across North Tipperary and Offaly.
"Our move to The Maltings Roscrea, in the centre of town, is a big step in our mission to ensure every person we support, is an active citizen in their community. We are now afforded modern offices, meeting rooms, training facilities as well as therapeutic spaces on site, where clinicians can meet the people we support in suitable environments.”
